Featured Cars: Custom Street and Classic Rods, Build kits

To make the whole engine bay look good, Edlebrock finned aluminum valve covers, a 50's caddy air cleaner, aluminum radiator and a false firewall.  Brian Johnson rebuilt the diff and a 700 R 4 transmission with a shift kit and Gennie shifter. This ride rolls on Wheel Vintique steel wheels with spider caps and 15 X 7 front & 15 X 8 rear shod in Diamond back classic wide whites.

The box has  extended stake pockets and the rear box sides cut to lay top of tailgate forward 3" while the underside of the box gets a custom rear pan.

The truck had always been intended to be somewhat Ratrod/Hotrod. ( flat black, red rims, Mexican blanket ...) Somehow it didn't seem to fit that role with the big back window so we started deviating from the original plan a bit. The body and paint are done in Hot Rod Flatz Hugger Orange & Classic White with Pin Striping  by Kelly's Kustom Pin Striping.

The interior is White tuck and roll on stock seat, with custom panels on doors and behind seat and Hugger orange carpet and seat belts. The Moon Eyes steering wheel sits on a GM tilt column, dash upgrades include Tach Force gauge cluster from Classic Intruments and a stock looking AM/FM radio & 6X9 Pioneer speakers.

The completion date was June 2010 after 500 hours of work. It is very well mannered on the street but excels on the highway throughout the interior and it has ventured to Vancouver Island. The truck gets about 10,000 miles a year on it and is usually licensed from the beginning of April until the snow flies.
Trucks are so popular but this Orange and white truck really catches your eye!! So keep an eye out for this stellar truck whenever you go cruising in the interior of BC....but don’t ask him to help you move.
